Why Custom Made Clothing?

During a bespoke fitting, current Boston Celtics coach, Doc Rivers, was being interviewed by PressPassTV as they were profiling the clothier, ECC Life & Style, who furnishes Doc with his custom suits. The interviewer asked Doc, So what do you like about custom? Doc gave a response that was similar to how most people would have responded with, Well, I have a strange body. I have big thighs! Big butt! I have long arms! He later says that, It's tough for me to buy off-the-rack. I've tried, and I have and it just doesn't look right. Besides, once you go custom it's like going first class. You can't go back; it's really tough!
When an off-the-rack high fashion designer, like the ones you see showcase the new line during fashion week in NYC, creates clothing they typically begin with a very specific set of measurements. For instance, in the case for men the nine heads model, meaning that the body's proportion is equivalent to nine heads, is the bench mark that is typically used.
This essentially translates to a generic male form that is 6 ft tall, 155 pounds, and with a 38 in. chest & 29 in. waist. All other sizes are then proportioned from this model. Although, the clothing is presented in a very glamorous and stunningly beautiful manner, in most cases the proportion of the sizes will not reflect the true sizes of the general population.
On the other hand, most off-the-rack brands that are found in local retailers across the country are cut for the masses. With that being said, they make every attempt to maximize their potential customer base by producing a much more safe cut, which means whether you're an individual who has an evenly proportioned body, a long torso with short legs, or a short torso with long legs, if your chest measurement is 42 in. that 42R is cut with the general population in mind no matter what your body proportion may be.
The end result is a suit that just doesn't fit quite right, which in turn will cost you more in the long run due to further alterations. Just as Doc Rivers pointed out with his response to the question what do you like about custom, individuals come in all shapes, sizes, personalities, and lifestyles.
Owning custom tailored clothing, in particular, custom tailored business attire provides one with a level of comfort that cannot be found with off-the-rack clothing. Not solely because it better fits your body, but more importantly, it better fits your personality.

The Most Popular Kind Of Fashion Shoes In the Market

Today espadrilles are considered as the most popular kind of fashion shoes in the market. People love wearing these shoes because of its bohemian style and simplicity. These shoes were actually invented at some point of time in the 14th century. They came from Pyrenees mountain area in Europe. However, these shoes first originated in Spain. They were manufactured originally in Catalonia area of Spain. You can find a number of shops in this area manufacturing these shoes for more than a century. Although the shoe is of Spain origin but the name is French.
However, if you think that all espadrilles that are manufactured nowadays are made in Spain, you are wrong! There are many other countries from where these shoes come in. The name of South Asian countries and Bangladesh cannot be ignored when it comes to these shoes. Countries other than Spain uses jute instead of Esparto grass for manufacturing these shoes. Jute in fact has a distinctive white colour and this gives the soles of the shoes a bright white colour making them easily distinguishable from a mile away.
If you think that these shoes are very pricey, you are again wrong. They come at very affordable prices and are very comfortable. This style shoe is cheap because of a simple reason. These shoes are actually considered as poor person's shoes. Although these shoes have become the darling of cool and hip urban fashion victims but they were actually invented as hard wearing anc cheap footwear for farmers and peasants and all other people who worked in fields.
Espadrilles during those days were mainly popular for their soles. The soles were in fact made of cheap and abundant grass, which was actually native to that area. The grass popularly known as Esparto were shaped, braided and modeled into the shape of the sole. A cotton or canvas fabric upper is basically stitched into the sole and when needed rubber or wooden heels are glued on to it. These shoes came up in laces and also as slip on pairs. So, the cheap and plenty-full grass used as raw materials in these shoes made the footwear very cheap to produce. They were in fact just the perfect kind of shoes for villagers.
However, nowadays these shoes have caught on with the urban elite who wear them as fashion shoes. With the advancement of technology in shoes, these shoes are now no long of the same design and cut. A number of stylish cuts and designs have come up with these shoes. There are a number of footwear brands that manufacture these shoes at affordable prices. You can also find many local companies manufacturing these shoes using poor quality materials. Thus you must be very particular about the brand you choose to opt for when buying a pair of espadrille.
Less authentic versions of espadrilles are made with soles made of rubber or other synthetic materials, which are styles to look like rope soles. These shoes are then painted white in order to give that special espadrille look.

The Origin of the Necktie

Neckties are long pieces of cloth in different colors wrapped around the neck that symbolize status and prosperity for men. This idea is widely acceptable and some people have wondered how it has arrived to that status. This question does not have easy answers. It is not because there are no records that can serve as an evidence or there are conflicting records. It's more about having varied opinions because the only answer to the question lies on how we define neckties.
Probably the oldest people using a necktie of some sort are the lovable prehistoric Saturday morning cartoon characters. They are not fact based, of course. But historically speaking, there were recent discoveries that show the antiquity of neckties. Within the ranks of the Chinese terracotta army unearthed during the 1970s showed several men who wore bands of cloth around their necks and its ends dangled in their chest. These clay warriors were molded around 220 BC! Interestingly enough, the ends of these pieces of cloth have pointed ends similar to those that we have right now.
But did neckties originated in China as evidenced by the tough terracotta men? It is doubtful since in Chinese history, there are no records of male neckwear similar to neckties. Or maybe, the fad did not last enough.
Some people have different opinions. Other argue on the perspective of trend originators basing solely on what one considers a necktie. Romans have neck warmers while European have ruffled scarves during the Middle Ages. On the other hand, Croatian soldiers during the 1600s sport the cravatta. These are some of the suggestions, even lacy ruffles were not spared as they were symbols of power and prestige before. The bigger the ruffle, the more powerful a man is.
Among those mentioned above, the Croatian army seemed to have been the one that created the most profound imprint in the history of worldwide fashion. Their hard fought battles and campaigned afforded them respect which European rules soon took notice. 20 years or so years passed when the French, foremost fashion trend setters, accepted the cravat as a formal attire. Ruffles were banned in a number of countries and they, too, started wearing a tie. Louis XIV of France was said to have developed an obsession with the new fashion trend and he was, as a matter of fact, was the one responsible for the world wide acceptance of the cravat.
From France, the public shifted their attention to Britain as a fashion leader in the 1800s. England's George IV and George V were credited for the transition of the traditional cravat towards the modern tie. Brummel, a British fashion icon who greatly influenced George IV, experimented with neckties and produced different necktie designs as well as ways on how to tie it.
Centuries thereafter, the neckties witnessed public acceptance when military regiments and schools required standards for color and design of their ties. The British, and later the Americans, progressed with their own regimental stripes, which eventually went mainstream. Designers produces ties with a wide range of colors and design.
And thus, the necktie era was born.

Choosing Short Hair Styles for Women Over 40

Just because you are in your 40s doesn't mean you shouldn't care what your hair looks like. No matter what age you are in, you have to constantly make sure that your locks are health and they are styled really well. There are many short hair styles for women over 40 and you can easily choose a look that can make you 10 years younger. With the right hair, you don't have to over accessorize because you can be able to pull off different looks that are appropriate for different occasions.
So, what are the secrets to choosing the right short hair styles for women over 40? Here are some guidelines you must keep in mind in order to find a haircut that you can rock anytime of the day:
Though you don't have to settle for short hair at this age, they are appropriate because they would open your face. As a result, you would look younger and it would also highlight the best features in your face. Open your mind to the possibility of having shorter hair, but if you are still afraid to take this step, you can gradually shorten it from time to time.
Take your time in making a decision. Do your homework beforehand by looking at different pictures online or in magazines. Don't go for current trends if they would look awful on you. As you are browsing through the different resource materials you have, make sure to imagine how it would look on your face. You don't have to settle for one choice either. Bring a couple of pictures the next time you go to your favorite salon and ask for an expert's opinion.
In some beauty salons, the person who would shampoo your hair may be different to the one who will style it. If this is so, make sure to discuss your cut first before getting your hair wet. Doing so means you would have more chances of getting a cut that looks good whenever it is styled or not.
As much as possible, you have to think of your schedule when choosing an appropriate cut as well. Some shorter cuts are also time-consuming to style and this is not a good cut to have when you tend to rush in the morning.

This makes them happy and gives you the peace of mind that you can only achieve by providing for your children's needs. Even when they are teens they are still your babies!
So what sort of sneakers are teens wearing these days? Let me just say that you could shop all day and not come across two pairs the same. Teens want sneakers that reflect their personal style so the better you know your teen the better equipped you are to shop for sneakers for them.
Retro and Vintage Teens
Teenagers who love all things from decades past are easy to outfit in the newest fashion sneakers. The 80's have come back into style with skinny jeans, slouch socks and of course neon colors. Set your teen up with a pair of neon high-tops for a brand new retro 80's look.

A Look at the Top Pakistani Wedding Fashion Designers

There is no doubt that the South Asian culture has the most celebrated version of weddings and wedding rituals. It is a at least a four to five day custom with modern weddings consisting of intense wedding planning and taking place in carefully managed hotels and elite event planners who charge a big fee. With so many traditions, the bride--unarguably the most important person in the wedding--has a huge task to pick what she believes is the most beautiful wedding dress in the world within her budget. This is a query not even the most prestigious wedding planners or event planners having the most elite and highly recognized wedding planning certification can easily solve. I have compiled a list of the best Pakistani designers (in my opinion) to make this tedious task of finding the perfect dress a bit easier on the bride, the bride's family, the groom's pockets, and of course the wedding planners. Especially for the wedding planners, I hope this list will make your job easier and not make you wonder why a wedding planning certification wasn't offered where you were chose to specialize only in bridezilla's dress finding fever! The most recognized bridal couture designers in Pakistani would be HSY, Maria B, Karma, and Nomi Ansari.
This is naming only a few personal favorites who all have distinctive styles so it might be easier to match a designer with the personal style of the bride based on these choices. For example, HSY is known for his modern bride. He carries unique color combinations and takes risks with the traditional red bridal color and matches it up with a bold yellow or purple underlining- a good choice for today's power woman who always stands out. Maria B is for the decent, traditional girl who wears royal styles in pastels. Karma is all about the detail of the handwork and goes well with the bride who gives a lot of attention to detailed quality. Nomi Ansari is simply for the fun girl- one who is not afraid to try something different and cute. These individual designers been mentioned, I would also like to tip the wedding planners on suggesting fashion labels to your brides that carry many names under one roof. This makes the choice a little easier as the bride can easily see what type of styles she is leaning towards most and then either buy that dress of the hook or go to the designer who's dress she liked under the fashion house and ask for something similar. Not an easy job, wedding planners, but if your bride is happy with the end results, you can celebrate the credit.

Girls Spring and Summer Fashion 2011

Spring is closing in and it is time to start preparing for the 2011 spring fashion season. Recent fashion shows indicate a lot of new and fun girls 2011 spring and summer fashion trends. Whether it is a sleek retro dress or short spring jacket, it is time to start talking seasonal fashion.
I scanned the Internet and compiled a list of some of the most popular spring 2011 and summer fashion trends for girls and women. Most of these came from fashion shows this past fall while some come from bloggers who have their fingers on the pulse of fashion.
One popular spring 2011 trend is floral patterns. Floral patterns on girls dresses, pants, jackets, blouses, and fitted blouses are sure to be popping up everywhere over the spring and summer. A lot of these floral patterned short dresses and long dresses look like something out of a late 1960s movie. Think retro/hippy flower wear and you are talking 2011 trends.
Another trend is denim. Don't go crazy on the denim but fashionable denim shorts for women will be very popular this spring and summer. In addition to the denim, stripes with little graphics will be a popular girls tee as well this season. The bolder the better with your denim selection as far as colors go.
Sleek and slinky dresses with a 1970s look are also back in style this spring and summer. Satin dance dresses which look like they can be worn for parties, galas, events, or dinner parties are back in style. Ink emerald and sapphire are the preferred dress colors for these simple or special occasion dresses.
Full skirts are back in style for 2011. Once again think retro 1970s era and you will be dressing for 2011. These full skirts were popular in the 70s and have made a return to pop fashion. These short skirts are also popular among men who love checking out women in full skirts. They are sexy and leave a little to the imagination which is perfect if you are trying to turn heads. Choose from long, sheer, short, or fuller full skirts.
Wide pants are also a popular fashion statement this spring and summer. 2011 is looking more like 1971 with these trends, so go through your mother's attic and you may find a stylish outfit. These pants have a high trouser with a wide leg. These wide pants are surely spring/summer 2011 fashion trend that will turn heads.
These are just a few of the hot trends for spring/summer 2011 girls fashion. Happy summer!

Summer Fashion for Plus Size Women 2011

Are you feeling the heat yet? Summer is pretty much with us, so now is the perfect time to get in the know about the latest trends in plus size fashion for the upcoming season.
Most stores have already launched their Spring and Summer collections and are adding new items to their shops, both online and in stores around malls. So now is the perfect time to update yourself about the latest trends to update your closet in time for the Summer months.
So here are the top Summer plus size fashion trends you need to know about.
1. Animal Prints
The animal magnetism trend is back this year, and it is back with a vengeance because you can see animal prints everywhere! Front dresses, to top, tunic tops, and even leggings can be found in animal prints. Whether you're looking for leopard or tiger prints you can find there in various different shades too not just the regular shades. Don't worry if you're not too daring to go for an animal print dress, you can incorporate this trend by wearing an animal print clutch-bag with a little black dress for example.
2. Wide Stripes
Stripes were very much in fashion last year, and this Summer they are back, but with a twist. Last year we were used to seeing thin stripes, but the ones hitting the catwalk this season are wide. So watch out for tops with wide stripes, in various colors.
3. Floral Prints
Whilst the animal prints trend exudes a woman's strong side, the floral prints trend of course brings out a woman's fragility and femininity. So although quite opposing trends, both of these will be big this Summer season. Look out for floral print tops and dresses. Some are all over prints, whereas other styles just have a touch of floral pattern. Again if you are not very comfortable with wearing prints, add on this trend to your outfits with patterned bags, shoes and scarves.
4. Bright, Vibrant Colors
It's only fair that after Fall and Winter's toned down colors, we transition into more fun, fresh and vibrant Summer colors. This season's colors will be truly bright: watch out for highlighter style greens, pinks, oranges and yellows. Of course play this trend well and make sure not to overdo it. For example, you can wear a bright colored tunic top with a pair of denim leggings. Again do no forget you can play up with trend with accessories as well!
5. Lace
Similarly to the floral trend, lace is very feminine. Lace was quite popular over the cold winter months, we saw it in various collections. This trend will carry on in Summer! So do look out for lace dresses, and lace accented tops and leggings.
6. Gladiator Sandals
The gladiator sandals style of shoe was immensely popular last Summer, so everyone who loved these sandals can rejoice! These sandals are back this season. We might see variations in style of course, with different twists given to it, though they are still in.
So there you have it, these are the top plus size fashion trends for Summer 2011 you need to be aware of!. Take ton these trends and apply them to your personal style, to make sure you are stylish this summer season.

Kids Shoes

They used to be something that protected the feet, kept them warm, but just as importantly dry, but kids shoes have now become a fashion statement. Children now look to ensure their appearance matches their heroes, whether soccer stars, or other sportsmen, film stars or their favourite singers.
Television images are brought to us more and more, and those images imprint ideas in the minds of young and old.
There is creativity to match as never before and pity the poor child who falls behind in the style race.
Shoes began as protective animal skins tied around the foot, developed slowly over the centuries, but have finally become an item available in many colours, designs and materials; natural as well as synthetic.
Fashion sense is not exclusively the province of modern times. The courtiers of many a European Throne vied to outdo each other as new ideas came from the lands overseas that discovery brought closer to them.
Designs and ideas spread only slowly. These were the Ages of the carriage and the horse on land, the written word and drawing on parchment, and the wooden ship at sea.
Our lives are in an age of jet aircraft, television, film and internet. Everything is available in an instant and now the world is such a small place!
It is a phenomenon of recent decades and the imaginative entrepreneurs who saw the opportunities of such a large marketplace were the ones whose fortunes were made almost overnight.
The fashion industry grew, and superficially it revolved around the ladies, but it was not more than a step further to realise that the grown woman was only a proportion of the population, and hence of the marketplace. In medieval times men's fashion was as important as women's. Like the animal kingdom, the male of the species would strut around like peacocks in all their finery. For most of the twentieth century man wore mainly drab functional clothing and it wasn't till the sixties that this began to change.
Advertising and marketing soon ensured that demand for product came from all sectors of society, and all ages. Manufacturers geared to making mass produced product, fashionable women's and men's shoes for example, already had the capacity to produce other products if the manufacturing techniques were similar.
It was not too much of a leap of faith to expand their ranges to kids shoes. Why would the child not demand of its parents something to keep apace with fashion, to match the nice new dress, the trendy jeans and the polo shirt. After all, parents take great pride in their children, and their children's appearances.
The media, television, internet, pop concert and film not only assist in the creation of fashion and the demand for it but they also help to sustain that demand on a daily basis.

Men's Fashion Tips for 2011

Men, nowadays, are paying much attention to how they look, what they wear and what style best suits them. Today men's fashion has gained equal importance as that of women. Here are some men's fashion guidelines to keep in mind when choosing right attire that give a good general appearance on a few major points.

Now that summer is quickly approaching, despite the gloomy weather, there are many styling tips for men to keep them trendy, and knowing the basic pointers in choosing the right attire at the most appropriate time can help them look neater or more fashionable without too much hassle.

When it comes to T-shirt colors, summer colors are always nicer than the drab winter colors. Browns, black and grey were out this year. It is high time to welcome vibrant colors and those with two key spectrums. The first is the warm palette containing red and oranges, while the other palette of colors includes blue and turquoise. From these key spectrums, bright pink and aquamarine were expected to set the trend this summer. On the other hand, men must always think that colors convey mood and personality. Bright pink conveys passion while aquamarine connotes calmness and tranquility.

When it comes to proper fit of T-shirts, it is very important to choose those with comforting fabrics. Out were the days for relaxed styles with lots of material. Men's fashion trends, nowadays, include more fitted styles that cling to the contours of the body. Round necks are hot this year to reflect the warm weather short sleeves, which can be matched with sleeveless vests. Lengths of the tops for this year were slightly longer than those seen last year.

Talking about fabrics, pure cotton is great for the summer to make you feel fresher and comfortable. As a general rule, it is always best to wear something that you were comfortable of. Shorts are still in, as well as trousers. There are occasions when you will need to wear pants during summer. At these times it is always important to pick pants that will match your tops. It is always a good idea to keep the pants darker than the shirt.

Even though fashion trends keep changing from time to time, men must always think that whatever their age are, or they body frame and choice of style, dressing accordingly is still what fashion is all about. Knowing who you are, learning how to express yourself without overdressing, and learning how to carry yourself properly are still what matters most.

Kids' Designer Clothes 2011

The arrival of a new year is always an exciting time for fashion. When it comes to kids' designer clothes, the New Year always brings something new, and 2011 is definitely no exception. For kids' designer clothes, one style that's guaranteed to be prevalent this year is simplicity. A number of designers have taken this trend even further by incorporating it into natural elements with a "green" touch. Indeed, 2011's collection of designer clothing for children's is expected to feature clothes with a distinct natural look that's refreshing, exuding the warmth and grace of nature. Expect to see clothes made from bamboo and cotton fabrics, coming in gentle colours such as cream, yellow, orange, pink and blue.
Yet another trend you can see for this year's batch of kids' designer clothes is the faded and worn-out look. Expect to see clothes with tattered and raw edges, faded fabrics and frayed seems that exude the charm of vintage clothes. Designers are looking to integrate this look not just in casual clothing, but in dressy and formal clothes as well. You can now see this look prominently featured in a handful of children's clothing labels.
The retro and avant-garde vibe is also making a comeback this year after taking a break in 2010. Kids have now taken a leaf from the style bibles of icons like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, and have begun to take an eclectic approach to clothing. Among the styles you can expect to see this 2011 are clothes with mixes of stripes and polka-dots for girls-a combination which would have set off style alarms in the past-and a blend of plaids and stripes for the boys.
The edgy, aggressive feel of graffiti is also making its way back into this year's collection of kids' designer clothes. This time around however, the graffiti will be softened by the sweetness of youth, with designs focusing on stars, hearts and stripes. This is further complemented by shiny metallic accents and neon colours.
If you're looking to buy kids' designer clothes for your child, this year's collection of children's clothing looks to be wide enough to suit different tastes. There's definitely something for all parents and kids for 2011. Whatever you may choose, always remember to pick a designer line that specializes in sweetness for the girls and a tempered edginess for the boys.

Simple Makeup Tips When Wearing Contact Lenses

Contact Lenses are a fantastic innovation that many people who are tired of wear glasses will agreed. Contact user must be accustom to using them and should know how to take care of them at a regular basis.
The care and precaution of wearing contact lenses can differ when it comes to wearing a makeup together with lenses.
In this article we shall share with you some simple but important tips when you want to put on your makeup with contact lenses.
Firstly, you should always remember to insert your contact first before you apply any makeup. Ensure that your hands and face are cleaned and dry before you insert your lens.
By putting your lens first will avoid hand cream, lotion, soaps or any other makeup residue on your hands. This residue will stick to your contact lens and may cause eye irritation.
Avoid using oil-free and unscented cosmetic because they are difficult to remove from your fingers and skin, instead we would suggest to choose a light face cream or moisturizer. Using heavy creams or moisturizers around the eyes could melt and smear the lenses.
When applying powder, apply it with care and make sure you have removed the excess powder around the eyes. We would suggest you use creams and liquid gel eye shadows as tiny powder particles may fall into the eye and cause irritation. Use a sponge instead of a brush
Choose waterproof mascara without alcohol. Apply your mascara lightly and ensure that it does not touch the base of the lashes. Always allow the first coat to dry before applying the second coat. Avoid lash-extending mascara, which has fibers that can irritate the eyes.
When applying eyeliner, we would suggest using waterproof and soft-liner instead of liquid type. Apply your eyeliner with care and avoid touching the inner rim of your eye as this will smear the lens.
If you need to wear your contact lenses when using hair dryer, try to blink frequently to prevent your eyes from getting dry.
If hair spray is required, always use it first before putting your contact. If this is not possible close your eyes while spraying open your eyes a few second later or ask for assistance for this process.
Last but not the least, always removes the contact lenses before removing your makeup in the evening. Again ensure that your hands are cleaned and dry before removing it. We will suggest water based makeup remover and apply it with a pad.
Hope you will find the above information useful and trust that your will enjoy putting your makeup with a bright and beautiful eyes!

French Perfumes Dominate the Market Today

France does have a place in perfume development historically, there's no doubt about that, but the history of fragrances goes back many thousands of years actually. There is plenty of evidence of its use in Ancient Egypt and nearby Cyprus has the earliest site that shows it being created locally. The Romans of course wandered all over that area and further refined the production process. They were quite famous for their standards of sanitation and general cleanliness, when not engaged in battle! The Arabs developed fragrances along similar lines, but their version was based on incense which of course needs to be heated or burned to release the fragrant odours.
So when did French perfume start to make its mark in this sector? Well it is largely Louis XV that gets the credit here. Ruling in the 18th century he encouraged the liberal use of fragrance at Court. The ensuing Royal patronage ensured that the nobles and other social climbers were quick to take this up too and so it gradually spread outside the Royal Courts. France can count itself lucky to have both a moderate climate in the South of the country and soil there that is particularly suited to growing aromatic plants. The town of Grasse, even today, remains the source of the French perfume oil concentrate that is used in ladies perfumes around the world - men's colognes too!
If you visit Grasse the first thing that strikes you is the abundance of flowers and aromatic herbs that populate the hills around the town - an amazing splash of every colour under the rainbow. The companies that produce the oils are called 'perfume houses' and to some extent that IS descriptive, because they are often small family-run businesses with production methods that have not changed much over the centuries. The difference is that French perfumes now find their way around the world and not restricted to France or nearby European countries any more.
Once the plants and flowers have been harvested they are put through a fairly unsophisticated process to render them into a liquid form. After filtration to remove stalks and other debris, they are quality checked in the laboratory to maintain the high standards expected of these (by now) expensive perfume oils.
The French perfumes you may buy are actually a combination of many of these essential oils, often a hundred or more are used to make just one fragrance - the perfumer needs to know his art! He is called a 'nose' in the trade and has to come up with the right combination of oils to ensure consistency and keep costs under control too. The right balance of ingredients vs cost is what leads to a top selling fragrance that makes lots of profit for its makers. Only by sourcing wholesale perfumes, maybe at an out-of-town perfume outlet, can the retail prices of ladies perfumes be brought down to an affordable level.

2011 Wedding Dress Fashion Trends

I recently published an article on the top Wedding Dress Trends for this season. Just as fashion is constantly evolving, wedding dress designers are also keeping pace with the industry by creating stunning gowns that will appeal to today's modern bride. Since that time I found a video that presented by The Knot that modifies the styles that I previously reported on.
The video features the top 10 wedding dress fashion trends for 2011. Notable salon owners such as Mark Ingram of Bridal Atelier and Mara Urshel of Kleinfeld's weigh in on today's most popular styles. As Mark describes it "...the gowns are intricately designed and crafted beautifully, even the simple ones...you have to respect that and admire what the designers do." Here is a summary of the top styles we are sure to see Brides wearing everywhere this year:
10. Cascades of Ruffles - layers and tiers of soft fabrics and pleating create modern, romantic gowns.
9. Tea Length Dresses - these dresses are all about high style and are longer in length this year.
8. Gold Color - a regal color that will flatter many shades of skin. Choose a pale Gold for lighter skin tones and go bold with a deep shade for the darkest skin tones. Although Gold generally conjurs up thoughts of nobility, it is not necessary to have a formal wedding to wear a gown in this lovely color.
7. Black Trim - this dramatic color is being used in fresh ways as an accent on gowns. Some designers are layering lace over a portion of the Black sash/trim to add a bit of drama and soften this intense color.
6. Vintage Beading - chunky beading creates a luxurious and extravagant quality and feel to gowns. The beading tends to be clustered together to create a very dramatic effect.
5. Shimmer - these gowns glow and sparkle without a lot of heavy beading. They can be worn day to night in all types of settings and lighting.
4. Sheer Necklines - think "illusion" with a new way to do strapless. This style is especially great for Brides who can't picture themselves wearing a strapless gown.
3. Corset Bodices - the corset style has always epitomized the ultimate in sexiness. The boning is visible in this year's designs giving a fresh feel to this dramatic style.
2. Frothy Skirts - these gowns have hit ther peak in popularity this year. The Bride will appear as though she is floating down the aile in styles that are light, airy and comfortable to wear for hours on end.
1. Nude Color - this soft hue is considered the "new" white. Not too bold in color, the varying shades are glamorous, sexy and romantic.
While seasoned designers such as Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier continue to stunning wedding dresses, there also a group of very talented designers with a fresh view on fashion that are emerging as leaders in the industry. Their creativity and execution of design is reflected in their gowns with bolder choices that, up till now, were not available to Brides. Recognizing that today's women are smart, well-educated and have a unique sense of style, the industry is rising up to meet their desires for beautiful and affordable wedding dresses.

Top 10 Womens Fashion Tips For Summer

Summer is a great time of year. The weather is warm, the days are longer and many of us get to spend a week or two relaxing on holiday. There are often weddings, parties, balls and barbeques to attend in the summer giving us a great opportunity to get dressed up. Summer is also a great time to have a little fun with fashion and try out something new. When the sun is shining bright colours, prints and pastels all look amazing. You also don't need to worry about what coat or cardigan to wear as it is warm enough to go without. Here are our top ten fashion tips for the summer.
1. Looking stylish in the summer is partly about keeping cool. A red shiny face is not a good look and you can ensure that you always keep yourself cool and comfortable by wearing loose fitting clothes in light colours and natural fabrics on hot days.
2. Womens t-shirts are a great casual option and go with almost anything. Find yourself a great style of t-shirt that flatters your body shape and then invest in a few in different colours to go with a variety of different outfits. A slightly thicker fabric will usually be more flattering as it tends to skim over lumps and bumps rather than clinging.
3. Tunic tops are ideal for covering up on the beach on holiday or wearing with a pair of neutral trousers for a relaxed summer outfit. Look out for tunic tops in bright colours and patterns for a fun and eye catching outfit.
4. When the sun is at its hottest keep sun burn at bay with a wide brimmed hat. Not only will it help you to maintain your youthful complexion but will also look incredibly elegant.
5. Accessorise your summer outfits with big and bold accessories. Chunky wooden beads, oversized clutches in juicy citrus shades and armfuls of bangles all look stunning with summer clothes, so pile them on.
6. Make use of camisoles, they are one of the most versatile pieces of summer clothing. You can wear them under a suit for work, with jeans for the weekend or even with smarter trousers and heels for a night out.
7. For slightly cooler summer weather, wear a bolero or shrug with a dress. It will keep your arms warm without ruining the line of the dress.
8. For an understated look for the summer, try layering different neutral shades. This look will make you feel both cool and calm.
9. Don't be scared of showing your legs. If you can't bear to wear shorts, try a knee length summer skirt or dress. If you are worried that your legs don't look long enough wear heels. If you are worried that they look too white, try some fake tan or tan coloured tights.
10. A pair of white trousers is a great wardrobe basic or the summer. They look great with womens t shirts, camisoles and tunic tops.

Cowboy Belt Buckles

Using them gives anyone a look like they belong alongside Roy Rogers or John Wayne in some adventure along the Chisholm Trail. You can, in fact, sport so many different designs that can help you to have the perfect look.
Fortunately, you've got easy access to all of them because you can go online in order to get them. More importantly, you can get them in any size you need (as long as they're actually made in that size) so that you aren't stuck with something that's either too big or too small. There's an amazingly wide range of sizes in cowboy belt buckles to match the various style choices that you're going to be presented with.
The reason that you have so many different designs available is that they've been around for some time now. Cowboy belt buckles aren't actually something that cattlemen wore out on the range in the days of the cattle drive, but they did come out roughly sixty years ago during the cowboy serials of the Silver Screen. Even though the movie type has lost its popularity, the clothing it inspired has maintained a consistent popularity and an expanding range of products ever since.
All you have to do is know where you can go in order to find something that you're going to love. Then you can sport the perfect cowboy style for your own personal appearance. You might even become one of the trendsetters yourself, as people see how good you look while wearing this style of clothing. So, you should pick out the ones that you like best and wear them whenever you get the chance. Just go online and dress up yourself with belt buckles having cowboy on it that will really look so decent. Don't wait for your friend that he should buy this thing first that you can then verify it. You will get a quality thing at online sites.

Spring 2011 Fashion Trends for Women

The fashion trends for Spring 2011 will be a welcome change to "real" women everywhere. Instead of clothes that would only look good on a size 2 teenager, designers chose to show a variety of figure-flattering, figure forgiving clothes in luxurious fabrics and colors.
With a little bit of modification, these styles can be easily incorporated into anyone's wardrobe.
Trend #1: Full cut trousers
For the past several seasons, designers like Marc Jacobs have mined the 70s look. This time, instead of a boho-hippie influence, we get the 70s look from the movie the "Ice Storm". Think groovy pantsuits as they would have been worn in suburban Connecticut
These pants are mid to high rise, which may look strange after over a decade of low cut, hip slung jeans, and the inadvertent thong show that followed. This is a welcome change, as is the possibility of eliminating muffin top without having to diet.
Wear this style with a tucked in blouse, a skinny belt and wedge heels for an easy and stylish work look.
Trend #2: Maxi dresses
What could be easier than a long, loose dress? Today's styles are slim, but not tight, and made with drapey fabrics like jersey.
Like everything else, it's the details that count. To avoid looking like Mrs. Roper from "Three's Company", steer clear of Hawaiian prints or paisley. Instead, opt for solid colors in nudes or in the sure-to-be-everywhere color this spring: a soft mint green.
Trend #3: Pajama dressing
Yes, this is literally what some designers and fashion editors are calling this trend.
Loose pants tied at the waist, and boxy tees worn with a housecoat over them may seem like what most of us wear when we are home sick, not high fashion. But these basics are elevated when the pants are made of cashmere or silk, the tees are whisper thin and layered over each other and the over coat is in a dark shade like navy or black.
Also shown were dresses that looked like long, satin nightgowns. Of all the trends, this is perhaps the riskiest, fashion wise. Unless you work in a creative field, coming to work dressed in these clothes will probably draw some puzzled looks from your co-workers.
Trend #4: Bold colors
Although there were models on the runway wearing head to toe orange, electric blue and neon orange, even the designers tempered this style by pairing their clothes with plenty of whites and blacks. The result was a fresh way to update the basic neutrals most of us have in our closet.
Another way color was used this season was in the use of prints. Fruit themed prints were used, as were sailor-type stripes. The trend of mixing prints continues to be strong, as stripes were shown with flower prints. Kept in the same color family, this combination works.
These are just a few of the trends for Spring, and it is a promising one. Designers seemed to respond to the economy by presenting clothes that can be worn in a variety of seasons, from day to night, and in silhouettes that are timeless. Investment dressing may finally be brought to the masses to mean not a three thousand dollar purse, but a $150 lightweight cashmere sweater you'll wear all year long.

Fashion Tips For Men

  1. It's all about the Shoes Baby. You ever wonder why women are so obsessed with shoes? To tell you the truth I don't really know myself, but you should be aware that shoes are a big part of a woman's life and they will definitely notice what kind of shoes you are wearing. Always have 3-4 pairs of footwear that you keep clean, polished & in pristine condition; I recommend having 1 pair of dark brown dress shoes that will look good with jeans, 1 pair of sleek black dress shoes for slightly more formal occasions, get yourself some cool looking sandals for summertime outings, and when you go sporty go with a nice pair of white cross trainers. Never mix up sporty wear with formal shoes or the other way around, women WILL notice your shoes and if you're sporting some ugly kicks then she'll write you off fairly quickly as a guy who lacks style.
  2. Don't be Afraid to Accessorize. A couple of cool accessories such as a nice watch, an interesting necklace or bracelet will add to your overall sex appeal. Get accessories that match with your overall style and appearance and remember not to go overboard with the accessories in terms of the bling factor. Use the power of three here, meaning you should not be wearing more than three accessories at any one time.
  3. Get Your Haircut By a Pro. maintain a consistent hairstyle that you get cut at least every 2 or 3 weeks by the same hairdresser, in general you should choose a man to cut your hair since I find them to be a bit more in tune with the style I want to achieve whereas the women will try more experimental things and cut your hair in a more feminine way. If you don't know any good hairdressers then try out a few places in your area or find some opinions online about good ones in your area. Look at a few men's magazines and find a style that you would like for yourself, show this to your hairdresser when you go in and ask for a similar style. Oh yeah, always remember to tip him at least a few dollars if he did a good job and keep going back to the same guy every few weeks
  4. Try a Tie? Yes, ties are really hot right now and women find them irresistible, you can wear them to work or even a night out. Don't think that you have to be wearing a full suit to wear a tie. You can even some wear some nice jeans, a blazer jacket and a cool tie, this can be a pretty hip and stylish look that women will notice. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit here with ties with bold colors and patterns, you'll stand out in to women in a good way.
  5. To Beard or Not To Beard? Ok, maybe a full beard is a bit too much but a little bit of facial hair can be quite attractive to women, just make sure that you get yourself a nice electronic beard trimmer to keep it all trim & tidy. Unkempt facial hair is a big turnoff for women, it shows that you don't really have class and don't care about your appearance. In general it is true that most women will prefer a clean shaven man but sporting a nice trim goatee or some five o'clock shadow just may do the trick and make the ladies melt.
  6. Don't Be a Walking Logo. Try to avoid wearing clothing with big logos plastered all over it, nothing shows lack of class more than a walking billboard. Pick your clothes based on the clothing design itself and the fit and not based on the logo or brand name.
  7. Be a Hit with the Proper Fit. This is probably the biggest problem I see out there with men's clothing, which is wearing clothes that do not fit properly. Wearing proper fitting clothes is probably the best thing you can do to improve your overall look and feel, no more wearing your big brothers hand me downs or clothes from when you were a different size, it's time for you to shell out a few bucks and upgrade your wardrobe. You'll only need about 3-4 solid outfits combined with at least 3 pairs of nice shoes to really get up to speed. Your clothes should not be too tight or loose but rather they should snugly fit the curves of your body without feeling tight or uncomfortable. Most men tend to wear clothing that is too large and baggy for their builds, don't be one of them. Good fitting clothes will make you look much sharper and you'll feel more confident and comfortable & women will notice this.
  8. Wear at Least one Interesting/Unique item. When you go out try to wear at least one unique item or accessory such as a watch, bracelet, hat, necklace, etc. The item should be unusual enough to stand out from the normal stuff you usually see people wearing. This serves two purposes, firstly it's known as the pea cocking theory which is to wear an item that is so unique that you will have women stopping you and asking about it or if you're already talking to a woman it can serve as a great conversation piece. Secondly, you may be perceived as being unique and interesting, it can also add a lot of depth to your personality if you can tell an cool little story about the item.
  9. Never Mix Apples & Oranges. Try to maintain a consistent look throughout your outfit, if you have a casual look up top with a nice dress shirt but a sporty look at the bottom with track pants then you're on the wrong track. Keep your closet area divided up into three main sections: casual wear, sporty gear and formal wear. Also, follow the power of three when it comes to choosing colors, you shouldn't be wearing more than three colors at one time unless you want to look like a box of skittles. Remember to keep it simple and cohesive at all times.
  10. Better to Be Overdressed than Underwhelming. If there's a choice between being a bit overdressed or underdressed than choose to go for overdressed. Sure, you may stand out a bit but trust me, women are very fashion conscious and they will notice and appreciate the effort you made to look your best. You may even become the topic of conversation amongst a group of females. Being the center of attention is always better than looking like someone who doesn't give a crap about his appearance.
